We added new tape drive by issuing the two command "drvconfig, tapes". The
new tape drive looks properly installed and recognized.

But we got error when doing backup. The errors in /var/adm/messages:

Apr 10 09:33:09 nisc2 unix: WARNING: /pci@1f,0/pci@1/scsi@3,1/st@4,0 (st11):

....

In our backup report:

....
DUMP: Write error 0 feet into tape 1
DUMP: NEEDS ATTENTION: Do you want to restart?: ("yes" or "no") DUMP:
Change Volumes: Mount volume `#1' on `nisc2:/dev/rmt/0hn'
DUMP: NEEDS ATTENTION: Is the new volume (#1) mounted on
`nisc2:/dev/rmt/0hn' and ready to go?: ("yes" or "no") DUMP: Write error 0
feet into tape 1

What possible causes the error? Or the tape drive is bad?

Thanks in advance!
