All,
A related question would be : How could you find out the actual usage of the
external cache on your CPUs?
We have 280Rs with 2x900MHz processors (with 8MB external cache each) and I
want to find out how much of the external cache is really getting used. Is it
possible?
Thanks again
BTW, I have gotten couple of feedbacks on the first question and will
eventually summarize the results.

Subject: Ultra Sparc IIIi processors - comparison to Sparc III

All,
The newly released Sparc IIIi processors have 1MB L2 cache (integrated) but
no
other external cache, compared to 8MB of external cache available in Sparc
III
processors (which have 512K L2 cache).
Any idea how would this affect/improve performance?
Thanks in advance...
-Srini
