hello all,

i want to connect two hosts to a A3500 contreller with 5 D1000 array
connected to it. i found in the rm 6.22.1 release notes and in the Sun
Storedge A3500 hardware config guide that this is possible but
clustering software is required. however i do not need the clustering
functionality, the hosts will not access the same arrays at a time. i
have changed the scsi-initiator-id of one of the hosts (as described in
one of sun;s blueprints documents) and have installed rm 6.22.1 on both
hosts.
as the docs say this is not a supported configuration without the
clustering software - has anyone tried such a config ? what could
possibly goes wrong if i connect the seccond host to the A3500 without
the clustering software ? (scsi bus resets ?). all help will be greatly
appreciated.

i have also checked the "Independent controller module to two hosts"
configuration but in this way i loose the redundacy of the A3500
controllers and this is not very good for my situation.

thank you for your time!
