Tape drive

Hi list,
We bought a Sun Tape drive (Uni pack 4mm), I have
installed the SCSI adopter and probe-scsi is finding
it after reboot. But after connecting the Tape drive
and rebooting I have seen /dev/rmt is empty, what am I
missing here?. One thing I noticed is the Tape drive
does not have a Terminator, is this the reason
system is unable to configure Tape drive or something
else.

Any tips how it can be configured?.
