Hello All,
I'm trying to find out what the possible lan cards are on a new
system. These would be unconfigured cards that would not show up
in an ifconfig -a comand.
I found that the /var/sadm/install_data/install_log list the possible
lan cards on the system, so I need a script that will pull the last part
of the
following output. I tried using dmesg but the output was too
inconsistent for a script. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
# more install_log |grep "clone@0" |grep link
add link /dev/eri=../devices/pseudo/clone@0:eri
add link /dev/hme=../devices/pseudo/clone@0:hme
add link /dev/le=../devices/pseudo/clone@0:le
add link /dev/qe=../devices/pseudo/clone@0:qe
I need a command that will be generic enough to pull out the info after
the colon (:).
