Hi again,
Some gurus suggested that I should try the doco at wwww.transposed/techstuff/linux-jumstart.html. I am trying it now. When I look at Sol 9 software 1 of 2 cd on Ultra10 see the following:
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root nobody 13 Apr 8 22:06 cdrom0 -> ./sol_9_sparc
drwxr-xr-x 2 root nobody 512 Mar 21 21:14 sol_8_sparc_2
drwxr-xr-x 8 root nobody 512 Apr 8 22:06 sol_9_sparc
But when mount it on RedHat 8 using mount /mnt/cdrom
I see the following:
-r--r--r-- 2 root root 6379 Apr 13 2002 Copyright
drwxr-xr-x 7 root root 2048 Apr 16 2002 Solaris_9
Why is this?
As per the doco on Linux after cd into Solaris_9/Tools dir and ran setup_install_server. I get the following error
root@santhas Tools]# ./setup_install_server /jumpstart/install/
ERROR: Install boot image /mnt/cdrom/Solaris_9/Tools/Boot does not exist
Check that boot image exists, or use [-t] to
specify a valid boot image elsewhere.
The Boot file is refers to s1 on the cd which Linux cannot see. Is it somthing wrong the way I mount the cd?.

Hi Managers,
I am trying set up Linux Jumstart server for Sol 9. Any good document specific for Linux. I have tried the one from www.docbert.org without any success. It covers Sol 8 not 9.
