Hi everyone,
One dumb question:
bash-2.05# uname -a
SunOS v880-1 5.9 Generic_112233-04 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-880
bash-2.05# ls -ld /home
dr-xr-xr-x 1 root root 1 Apr 1 15:49 /home
bash-2.05# id
uid=0(root) gid=1(other)
bash-2.05# mkdir /home/log
mkdir: Failed to make directory "/home/log"; Operation not applicable
bash-2.05# chmod 755 /home
chmod: WARNING: can't change /home
How do I undo the 555 permissions on /home ?
Thanks for your time,
-ansh
