swap size option in vfstab

What is the purpose of option in this vfstab entry from a Sol 7 server?

swap - /tmp tmpfs - yes size=512m

Is the "size=512m" a valid options with sol 7 (and above)??

If this is a valid option, is it appropriate for a server with 10+ gigs of
system memory? How can one test and measure to find the appropriate value?

Also, if someone could link me to some docs with info on this option, that
would be appreciated as well.
