Ultra 5 and emacs and HP4

Hello to the list,

This might be a little off subject but I'm getting desperate.

I am using Xemacs version 21.1, on an ultra 5 with solaris 8 2/02.

Using a HP 4Plus with a jet direct card connected to the ethernet hub.

Can't get this thing to print landscape.

Trying

(ps-landscape-mode 'true) //// this doesn't work
(ps-number-of-columns 2) //// this seems to work
(ps-set-font-family 'Courier) //// this seems to work

I'm getting output 2 columns. stops printing 8 inches down the page but
printing in portrate ????
