Best choice for A1000 configuration

Hi managers,

I want to reconfigure my A1000(12*18gb) and I hesitate between two cases
, in both of them I leave one disk as a hot spare:

case1:
Make only one set of drives group at level 5 that I divise into 2 LUNs
.The available capacity of this case will be about 10*18=~180.

case2:
Divise in 2 drives groups 7 disks and 4 disks respectively with 1 LUN at
level 5on each one . That gives me a capacity of about 108 gb for the
first and nearly 54 for the second.

What makes me hesitate is that one LUN will be acceded in
writing/reading , and the second will just take place as an export NFS
file system with no writing on it . Moreover I loose some Gbytes in the
second case

Does the fact of having only one drive group decrease the I/O
performance especially that I don't want degradation on the export file
system.

Any help please ?

Rachid
