As Juan Lupion suggested the way to circumvent the version
checking portion of the ld is to set LD_NOVERSION into
something non-null. Mysql still doesn't play with that
but I think someone else may find it usefull in a similar
situation.
Also would you recommend upgrading the E250 to 8 or 9? Is
9 mature enough or are there any problems? Besides mysql
the machine will be hosting the web server and one of
the nameservers in our organization. Any performance issues
that I sould be aware of?
