hi all,
The A1000 problem
1)The setup is
E450 with 6 internal disk solaris 2.6
2)A1000 with 3 disks is connected via cable
530-2453-02 to a scsi card to pci raid controller with
2 SCSI ports on E450, with terminator 150-1890.
3)the server is shutdown then after 5 min first A1000
is powered on then after 5 min server is powered on.
4)the A1000 shows controller fault LED amber and no
disk activity LED on front.
5)raid manager 6.11 software is installed on server.
6)probe-scsi-all shows only 4 internal disk now.
7) with only power on and no controller cable attached
the disk led in front are glowing.
8) a controller fault was detected on earlier A1000
connected with same cable. 530-2453-02
9)Another A1000 is working fine with same type of
cable .
doubts
1)is the controller faulty?
2) or faulty cable 530-2453-02?
3)will a new A1000 box with 3 disk be shown in
probe-scsi-all
or it has to be configured first in raid manager??
an existing A1000 shows up as storeegde A1000 box in
probe-scsi-all but is configured in raid manager.
4) does it support both 7200 and 10000 rpm disks
together.
