Solaris 2.5.1 & Mail Probelm

Hi All

I am currerntly in the middle of replacing our Netra 2.5.1 workstation
with a Netra T1 running Solaris 9, due to other work commitments, I am a
bit behind schedule and a problem has arisen on our 2.5.1 box.

Basically, electrical contractors, turned off our Chloride UPS system
and turned off everything in our server room - WITHOUT INFORMING US! -
logs indicate they turned the power on and off, continuously for 10
minutes - at 2 minute intervals. So I think the server was booting up a
few times and they turned everything off again. :(

Our Netra Server now refuses to entertain mail INTERNALLY, i.e

I connect to the mail server, via it's PUBLIC IP address, as I have a
Public IP address, the server has a Quad Ethernet card, configured as

Qfe01 = 192.168.1.252
Qfe02 = 192.168.2.252
Qfe03 = 192.168.3.252
Qfe04 = 192.168.4.252

It seems to be hit and miss wether the user can connect to the server or
not. One minute they can receive mail, the next minute they are being
informed that they cannot communicate with the server

I shut down sendmail on the box and restarted it, even restored the
system (except the mail folders) from a working backup which appeared to
deliver my mail to a number of random users.

Could anyone offer any adivce on how I can diagnose or sort out this
problem, getting calls every 5 minutes about the e-mail
