I'm intrigued by Veritas Bare Metal Restore for my netbackup
implementation.
What i'm really wondering revolves around Solaris 8 and it's kernel.
Let's say your Veritas Netbackup Server is running on an e450 and you need
to do a bare metal restore on a v100.
What happens when you restore onto differing hardware? Does Solaris figure
things out? I wouldn't think it would. I think you would want the hardware
to be exactly the same. Thought i would ask anyway.
