Migrating filesystems, fastest method?

I have a HIGHLY fragmented vxfs filesystem with about 680,000 files,
accounting for 40gb of data on a 400gb volume that I need to migrate
from a D1000 to a T3. Any suggestions on the fastest method? Veritas
told me it would be vxdump|vxrestore, but I started the copy and it said
it would take about 6 hours?!?! Any suggestions?
