Managers-
I have a few hundreds of directories that have few files in them. One of the file in all these directories is symbolically linked to a file in the first directory.
Now my question is I want to rename file "foo" to foo.new and after renaming, the renamed file foo.new be linked to foo.new in the first directory, this should apply to all of those hundred directories that has this file. Any ideas on how to achieve this, will highly be appreciated. This would save a lot of work going in each directory and manually renaming and linking each file.
e.g
foo -> ../A1/foo
now the result we are looking for should look like
foo.new -> ../A1/foo.new
