Snap_getchunk Errors On Fssnap Snapshots During Ufsdumps

     Folks-

I'm getting errors similar to that shown below while running
ufsdumps/fssnap snapshots on one of my ufs file systems:

Jan 13 01:09:30 fosdick fssnap: [ID 964769 kern.warning] WARNING:
snap_strategy: error calling snap_getchunk, chunk = 47441,
offset = 15360, len = 196, resid = 196, error = 5.

All other ufs partitions backup fine without any error. The error
chunks, offsets, lens, and resids are the same every night.

     I'm running SunOS 5.8 Generic_108528-19 on a SunFire V880,
with FCloop Fiber-channel disk backplanes, and I'm backing up using
commands similar to:

/usr/sbin/ufsdump 0ufLN /dev/nrst32 /usr/local /dev/rdsk/c1t0d0s4
`/usr/sbin/fssnap -F ufs -o raw,bs=/space/backup.snapshot.file,unlink
/usr/local` >>& $outfile

     I've installed patches 110382-02, 111474-06, and 112186-08.

I have NOT installed the interrelated patches: 111412-10,
111413-09, 111095-12, 111096-05, and 111097-11. This is because
patch 111413-09 seems to be specific to A5x00 hardware, and the
Revision numbers shown in the Special Install Instructions (for
flashing the Interface Board firmware) in the 111413-09 README
file are not anything like the Revision numbers of the firmware
on my FCloop system.

I have unmounted and fsck'd the partition giving the error, and
I still get the problem. I have turned off logging (in vfstab) on the
affected partition, and I still get the error. The backing-store files
are put onto an empty 5GB partition.

I'm assuming that these fssnap errors mean that I'm not getting
a decent backup of the partition. Has anyone seen this error
before? Does anyone know what should I do about it?

     Thanks.

     Mike
