Rootdg UFS issue

Okay, here is the scenario. I seem to have gotten myself into a predicament
and am not quit sure of how to get out. The problem is I am running Veritas
filesystems and am using D1000. The only filesystem being used at this time
is rootdg because I am now moving the current filesystems to EMC disks. When
I initially installed Veritas (3.2/3.4) I inadvertently set rootdg up as UFS
instead of vxfs, only later to realize it because I had no vxfs license for
that piece. Now I have the key and have built the new EMC filesystems and
will be migrating the 2 filesystems in rootdg to their new home. My question
is can I convert rootdg to vxfs without losing the data, which once other
filesystems are moved to EMC will only house "/export/home", and if so what
is the best recommended way to do this. Thanks in advance for any help in
this matter
