Tape Library Configuration - sg drivers

Hello list,

I am attempting to turn a Sol8 box into a NetBackup media server. The
library contains two Sony AIT-3 drives and is hooked up via an LVD SCSI
controller. I can see the two drives and the robot via OBP with the
probe-scsi-all command. I can not seem to get the OS to detect the
drives. I contacted Veritas support and was instructed to add the
following to my /kernel/drv/st.conf file.

tape-config-list =

"SONY SDX-500C", "SONY 8mm AIT2", "SONY_AIT",

"SONY SDX-700C", "Sony AIT3 8mm", "SONY_AIT3";

SONY_AIT = 1,0x36,0,0x9639,4,0x0,0x0,0x0,0x0,0;

SONY_AIT3 = 1,0x36,0,0xd679,4,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0;

... and then did a boot -r...

I have also followed the instructions provided by VRTS in the
MediaMgr_DeviceConfig_Guide.txt file to no avail.

What is the secret to getting Solaris to recognize a tape library? Is
there a good document somewhere on SCSI configuration? I've been
working this issue for most of the last 1.5 days and I'm starting to
pull my hair out!

Thanks in advance,

Dave
