Locale - Japanese -solaris 7

Hi,

we have got solaris 7 with US locale ascii text format
installed.

We have got a precompiled binary with japanese locale for a cross
compiler.
when we try to compile a file with this binary , it is asking
libc.so.101.9 library.

question 1.

will the problem get resolved, when we install japanese locale on
the existing production server.

question 2.

if we copy the library from japanese_locale machine to US_locale
machine, the problem get resolved.

question 3.
  can it be possible to add japanese_locale on existing server
without losing data.
