I have two Netra X1s that both seem to have the same problem. Basically,
the time on the server jumps around fairly frequently (with corresponding
messages generated
by XNTPD (comes with Solaris) and NTP (public domain)). Normally this is only
mildly bothersome,
but one of the servers panic'd and the date was set to something like Jan 1907
(or similar, I was not
there for the actual outage).
All of our other Suns (280Rs) run the public domain NTP software just fine. Is
there a known problem
with the Netras and its clock? I did find a "sort-of" related patch, but
wanted to get more feedback
before blanketing patches :
Patch-ID# 111092-03 : Synopsis: Netra X1 time of day driver.
I have Patch: 111092-02 installed, but 111092-03 I would guess is newer.
Thanks for any tips / pointers...gut feel says this is a hardware clock / OS
problem.
