Locale and character set

Hello all,

I have a server that will be running WebSphere's app and web server, and
Oracle. This server will be serving English and a couple of European
languages. I imaging the Oracle and WebSphere will take care of presenting
the non-English characters. However, does this mean that I should set the
locale to the ISO (8859 something) or UTF?
