Hi again,
have just noticed that since I first gained access to the login
prompt by typing Ctrl-D, I can now access the tip session again
by simply typing:
tip hardwire
Anyone have an explanation ?

Hi folks,
I wonder if someone could explain what is happening on my tip session.
I have connected an E250 from serial port B to an E5500 serial port A.
>From the E250 I type:
tip hardwire
the following message comes up:
connected
However, whenever I hit return I only hear a beep, I get no output to
screen.
Here's the part I don't understand.
By accident I typed Ctrl-D (to exit tip) instead of ~Ctrl-D.
Well what do you know, I now see the E5500 login prompt !!!!!
Why do I need to type Ctrl-D to get the login prompt and what is it
actually
doing ?
