Solaris DHCP: Addresses becoming unusable

Platform: SunOS hostname 5.8 Generic_108528-18 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-80

Problem:

Recently DHCP addresses are becoming unusable, I have to release
them manually using 'dhcpmgr' before clients can obtain an address.

  From /var/adm/messages:

Feb 24 13:37:37 donor in.dhcpd[759]: [ID 990463 daemon.error] Client: 0100B0D017
937C is trying to renew xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, an IP address it has not leased.
Feb 24 13:38:41 donor in.dhcpd[759]: [ID 205727 daemon.notice]
(0100B0D017937C,xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx) currently marked as unusable.

One interesting thing I notice in the logs is that I'm also having this
problem immediately after a reboot...immediately in the logs it complains
"No more IP addresses" and then complains about clients trying to renew
IP addresses they have not leased (above message).

I'm very current on patches, any idea what could be causing this?
