Hello all:
I am running Solaris 8 with filesystem created by disksuite. I am having a
problem with a filesystem that is losing
the . and .. files. It has happened 4 times in the last 3 months.
"dk -K" shows the the filesystem is fine and has
data in it but if I "cd" to and try to "ls" the files, it gives me a
messages "not found". To recover, I have been able
to umount the filesystem and run fsck. It then says that my . and .. files
are missing and fixes it. All my files
then go into lost+found and I have to recover them from here.
Has anyone has an issue like this before. Is this a corrupt filesystem or
bad hardware causing this problem?
