I am having a Sun E4500 (8 CPU), E3500 (4 CPU) & E450 (4 CPU). My aim is to share its CPU, with different Softwares installed.
I will be using Oracle, with Websphere on solaris 8 and 9
ie for eg. If my e4500 have 8 CPU's ...3 CPU for Oracle ...3 for Webserver ...2 for Solaris.
I think this is possible by using Sun Resource manager.
Can someone pls advise me on following
- which all are the products for this?
- Can this be used with Solaris inbuilt commands (I think Pbind is one such command)
- Are their any third party s/w also available?
- Is their any freeware also available?
- CAn we share other system resouces also ..like memory?
