Hello,

sorry but I have a simple problem but no soloution.

I wanna use bzip2 to compress a file with about 76 GB. (SUNs docu -> bzip2
large file aware -> yes)
With the normal compress it works fine, but the compression ratio is to
bad, so the only other tool is bzip2.
When I try to bzip2 a smaller file, all is ok, but with the big file it
doesn't work.

bash-2.03$ du -sk *
76419568 EDWH.0.db2ph.NODE0000.CATN0000.20030213230148.001
0 lost+found
bash-2.03$
bash-2.03$
bash-2.03$ bzip2 -z EDWH.0.db2ph.NODE0000.CATN0000.20030213230148.001
bzip2: Input file EDWH.0.db2ph.NODE0000.CATN0000.20030213230148.001 doesn't
exist, skipping.
bash-2.03$

Best Regards

Thomas Barth
