Here is my original posting (minus the output from the boot up process)....

Thanks to everyone who responded -- too numerous to mention. I ended up
using the advice of Joon Hansen and running the following commands to update
/dev and /devices.
ok boot cdrom -s
# mount /dev/dsk/c0t0d0s0 /a
# devfsadm -r /a -p /a/etc/path_to_inst
# umount /a
# halt
ok boot -r
I guess the two V480s I was using for this weren't exactly identical.
