3310 - slow performance ?

I've just connected array 3310 to v880 (6 internal HDD) using 8th
PCI (66MHz) slot and created RAID 0 in the array and on internal disks. Both
RAID 0 contains 4 disks (internal disks as well as array's disks
are 70GB). Created filesystems on both arrays and made easy test.
/mnt - filesystem in 3310
/d8 - filesystem on internal FCAL disks
bash-2.03# time mkfile 1g /mnt/aaa; time mkfile 1g /d8/aaa

real 0m29.159s
user 0m0.160s
sys 0m5.510s

real 0m24.859s
user 0m0.080s
sys 0m7.930s

Does it mean that transfer to internal disks are faster then to
arrays's disks ?
The result means that transfer to 3310 is 34 Mb/s. The documentation
for Ultra3 SCSI card say that it is capable to transfer 160 Mb/s.
So why here it is so slow ?
Did I do something wrong ?
