Gurus,
I'm a little baffled about some simple run level tests I've been doing
on a Solaris 7 box. If I'm at run level 3 for example, and do an 'init
0', I would expect the K scripts in each of the lower run level to be
run until the machine reached run level 0. However, my testing
indicates that from run level 3, going to init 0 the K scripts in rc3.d
run, then the S scripts in rc3 run & that's it - no scripts out of rc2.d
or rc1.d run. Also, when coming back up from the OBP, I find the S
scripts in rc2.d run, then the K scripts in rc3.d and then the S scripts
in rc3.d.....my rc1 scripts don't get kicked off.....is this bizzarre?
