Hello,
I finally got my NIS working as it should.... The only problem now is
that
my NIS server is serving MD5-encrypted passwords (cos it's a linux box) and I
therefore cannot log into my client machine cos it uses crypt() passwords...
Therefore, either I need to downgrade my NIS server (which is also an
internet
facing web server, mail server, IMAP server and SSH server) to use crypt()
encryption instead of MD5 encryption and then change all my user's
passwords....
OR
I need to upgrade Solaris 8 to use MD5 passwords instead of crypt() ones...
Any ideas??
Thanks,
Richard.
