Performance on 32 versus 64 bit kernel

Hi,

On netra T-1 m/c, We are running a sample application which opens up 10 K UDP
socket and receive 5500 message on these sockets. The performance of this
application is much slow on h/w platform Netra T-1 (SUNW,UltraSPARC-IIi-cEngine)
with 64-bit kernel compare to 32 bit kernel.

The application on Netra T-1 (SUNW,UltraSPARC-IIi-cEngine) h/w with 32 bit
kernel takes nearly 11 seconds and same application on same h/w platform with
64-bit kernel takes 17 seconds.

We need to run our application on 64-bit kernel, can we get some inputs to get
the same (or better) performance as we are getting with 32-bit kernel. And what
are the reasons that 64 bit kernel is slower than 32 bit kernel on same h/w.

Regds,
- Rajan
