Thanks to all that replied
Most said to create a script in /etc/rc2.d to add the route or add it to
the bottom of /etc/init.d/inetsvc. I created a script in /etc/rc2.d to fix
the problem.
#!/sbin/sh
#
# static route table
ndd -set /dev/ip ip_forwarding 1
echo " Setting static routes "
route add -host host-ip gateway > /dev/console
echo " Done with setting static routes "
