More modern GCC for Solaris 2.5.1?

I've got GCC 2.7.2.1 from the SunFreeware site on my 2.5.1 machines. Now
I'm tryuing to build the latest Amanda, and I'm runining inot problems. The
wisdom of the Amanda hacke=rs is to upgrade to a more modern GCC.

Problem is, I cna't find one on SunFreeware, that doesn't require the Sun
linker, which I don't have. I also tried to build the latest from the gNU
site, and failed.

Can anyone provide an sugestiosn here? I need something newer than I have
(one of the 2.9's should be fine), that can use the GNU binutils, instead
of the Sun ones.
