Creating a device alias at OK prompt.

Hello gurus,

I am pretty much a newbie and have a question that my have a simple answer.

I have an E4500 with no internal disks. All disks are located in a D1000 array connected via scsi. The problem I am having is that when the system boots it sees no internal disks and tries to boot off the net, spamming me with "Timeout waiting for ARP/RARP."

I understand that I need to somehow create a device alias so that the system will know the path to the array but I do not know how to do this.

Can someone please point me to a website or some documentation that will explain rather simply how to discover the path to the device and then add the alias? Any help at all would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
