Veritas VM and Solstice Disksuite for rootdg and data

Hello Everyone,

I'm a first time poster, so go easy...@;-)

Here's my situation: We have a Sun Fire 280R server with one internal
36GB HD. We also have a StorEdge D1000 with 12 drives. The OS (Solaris
8) is on the internal disk. There are two data disk groups set up in
RAID-5 which take up 11 of the disks in the D1000. The 12th disk is the
"rootdg" and the internal disk is not touched by Veritas VM.
My question is this: If something happens to that 12th disk (rootdg)
will my other two RAID arrays be lost in oblivion because the Veritas
configuration data is only stored on rootdg? Or are there other copies
in other locations?

Thanks,
Michael
