Folks
I am looking to re-do our Flexlm License servers.
Currently we have 3 Sun Sparc 20's , running Solaris 2.6
Each license server is standalone.
I was looking at using flexlm 3 server Redundancy (3 Sun Ultra 2's , running
Solaris 8)
but years ago when I tried this it did not seem to work very well.
The other option is to have 2 Sun machines , (Ultra 2's running Solaris 8)
One to be live and the other to be offline.
If the live machine fails then re-do the hostid and start up the offline
machine.
Or we do have a Sun Cluster Version 3.0 servers
But I think that is asking for trouble and will not be supported by Sun.
Any suggestions on the best way forward.
