Dear Sun Managers,
I need your expertise and help on some Solstice
Disksuite problem.
I've a SunBlade 1000 with Solaris 8 running. After the
power outrage, my system is unable to boot up into
multi-user mode anymore. It always prompt me to fsck
the file system after I issue reboot. When I had
performed fsck on the file system and do a reboot
again, it does not allow me to bootup successfully and
ask me to fsck the file system again.
What could be wrong to the machine?
I do a control-D from single-user mode to go into the
multi-user mode. The metastat output shows status
"need maintanence" on the metadevice.
# metastat /dev/md/rdsk/d4;

>From metadb -i, how to tell how many replicas are
there? How to resolve this problem? Any pointers to
this problem would be highly appreciate.
Please provide me some useful website or documents so
that I can RTFM in future.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Andrew
