QUESTION: Is there a wrapper I can add to mailing scripts to change the "From
Name", that is pulled from /etc/passwd. If so I can add a rnd algorithm to
try to change things up so that email filters wont catch my mail.
I run a variety of checking applications, and system monitoring, i.e.
Netsaint, Cricket, Orca, and a variety of scripts as Oracle, Pin, etc.
I have run into a problem of "cry wolf" People have set up filters for these
messages based on user name, and as such they ignore, or don't have these
messages in their inbox, and as such they get unnoticed for a while. Granted
there are a few false alarms, but I have fixed them as they happen.
I need to try to change things up so these filters wont catch and move these
messages.
