Attaching a IDE Hard Disk to Ultra 10

Hi all,
        Im new to Unix Workstation but can you add any IDE(ATA) 40 Pin Drive
or is thier any limitations, I have had alot of contrasting infromation from
dealers stating that the BIOS has a limit.

If anyone has any knowledge of if their is any problem put a standard IDE
Hard Disk
on an ultra 10 can they get back would be appreciated.

The problem is caused by the faulty harddisk. It works without any
trouble for another new one.
