Hello all,
I've just completed a dump/restore script that dumps a partition from
one Sun Netra to another, and then restores it. The following is the syntax
of the dump/restore command:
vxdump -$BU_LEVEL -f - $LOC_PART | compress -c |\
rsh $BU_HOST "cd /export/ro/u1 ; uncompress -c | vxrestore xf -")
It works perfectly until it tries to restore one particular directory
and then it returns this message:
set owner/mode for '.'? [yn]
Unfortunately I cannot really test this too much, as we are dealing with
a live system. I've put in the -y switch on the vxrestore command in the
hope that this will take care of it, but if anybody has any views/advice
about this it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Murrough
