Solaris And SAN Disks

I was brought onto a team that manages servers in a remote data center. Our
site contains Sun servers with Solaris 2.6,2.7 and 2.8. All of the boxes use
dual Emmulex cards to attach to our SAN which is made up of Brocade switches
and ultimately attach to an EMC Symmetric for disk and a tape library for
backup.

All of the servers are moving to a new data center. EMC is coming in to build
out the new Symmetrix. The team I am on will need to connect to the EMC disks
once they are allocated.

I know I need to update the sd.conf and lpfc.conf (for the Emmulex cards) in
order to see the EMC disks.

I was wondering if anyone had good notes, a FAQ or other materials they could
share that walks someone through this process. I will not be involved with
building out the SAN or allocating disks on the EMC Symmetrix. I just need to
know what steps people take once the disk space is allocated on the EMC to the
point where you can see the disks in a format command on a given Solaris
server.

ANY notes, FAQs, vendor DOCS greatly appreciated.

William
