Two NICs on same subnet

Hello folks,

I inherited a non-production server that has two NIC cards on the same IP
subnet. Both NICs have the same MAC address as expected.

I remember years back that it wasn't recommended to have this
configuration because it might cause some routing problems (don't remember
the reasons anymore). The server itself is not routing.

The server is operating normally but I need some reassurance that I will
not encounter any problems later.

Any advise or recommendations?

Rene
