Cachefs Problem

Hi folks,
I have a cachefs filesystem called /usr/apps on a workstation
called say unixbox.
e.g.
Filesystem kbytes used avail capacity Mounted on
/cache/.cfs_mnt_points/apps-server:_usr_apps_13
                     11586696 8730530 1697506 84% /usr/apps

On the original NFS shared filesystem e.g apps-server:/usr/apps/
we have added a directory which is itself an NFS mount
i.e. the directory apps-server:/usr/apps/testapp/submit
is NFS mounted from server2:/datadir/submit
e.g.
# df -k .
Filesystem kbytes used avail capacity Mounted on
server2:/datadir/submit
                     5157096 520264 4585264 11%
/usr/apps/testapp/submit

On the workstation unixbox, if I cd to /usr/apps/testapp/submit
(i.e. the cachefs filessystem) and touch a file there, it appears
no problem. However it is nowhere to be seen in server2:/datadir/submit
which is where I would expect it to be !!!!!

Can anyone explain why ?

Thanks a lot.
