We have a CPU fan on a SUN PCi II card acting up. As the computer is not
under maintenance. SUN tells me they must replace the whole card as the CPU
fan is not stocked. This is rather silly since the card would cost $500 vs
$15 for the fan only.
Does anyone know where I could get a CPU fan assemblies for the 600-733Mhz
SUN PCI cards? I found sites which carry CPU fans have not found any which
carries this CPU fan unit. I have used standard AMD K6-2 fans for our
400Mhz PCi cards but these ultra slim units are not typically stocked.
The fan unit is a 1U ultra slim unit made by Neng TYI, model MN01, the FAN
is made by DELTA, model FB0512HHA-F00. I believe the unit needs to
purchased as one unit.
