Hello sirs,
A very Happy new year to all!!!
I have a specific problem on our site.
1)Our onboard ethernet card is not working properly.
Though ifconfig command specifies the IP address
for the card , when connected to switch/hub the data transfer
doesnot take place. We have tested with 2 more hubs, but result is
same.
It is a 10 mbps hub.

We have purchased 1 third party PCI card for the SUN Ultra5.
How to install the card with the machine.
How to delink the onboard card , so that the external card is
recognised,& we can assign the IP address to it.

2) We have two subnets, 192.168.242.xxx and 10.207.xxx.xxx
what is the best way to establish a communication between them,
both thru a external router(with configurations) or treating
any SUN machine as a router.

                                  Thanks,
                                                      Randeep
