Hi everyone,
I tried to install a Linux distribution for Sparc on my ULTRA 5 Workstation,
but all distributions (Mandrake 7.1, Redhat 6.2, Suse 7.3..)
did some problems at the installation or after. I tried to get Solaris 9 to
work but one of the Linux distributions killed the Sun disk label.
Now I can't format or label it, the error message is listed in the subject.
I've got the standard 8.4 GB Seagate disk. Does someone know
how to do a low-level format or something that would help?
Would it help, if I format the disk on a DOS running computer?
