Hi All,

Sorry - One thing I forgot to mention. All the machines including the
Jumpstart server are all on the same subnet.

Regards,
Alan.

Subject: Jumpstart not working after changing IP address

Hi All,

I have an Intel PC running Solaris 8. It is setup to provide a jumpstart
installation to a number of 4500 and 450 servers which will run Solaris 2.6.

Everything was working fine, then the network guys decided they wanted to
change the LAN ip address range.

I changed the IP address of the Jumpstart server, the Jumpstart server hosts
file has been edited with the new details, as well as running:
add_install_client with the new ip details. However, now when I want to do
the installation's I get an error of "ARP timeout waiting for ....."

If I install the 4500 or 450 servers from CD they are communicating fine on
the network and "talking" to the Jumpstart server with no problem.

Any and all help would be appreciated. Should I have changed the IP details
in a different way?

I will summarise.

Regards,
Alan.
