Hi all,
We are using Sun 4800 as database (Oracle 8) server T300 as storage boxes.
We have implemented RAID 0 in T300 level (hardware) and Mirroring in Veritas
level. Ie mirroring is done by Veritas Volume Manager Software (striped
across (9+7 ) disks, ie total number of disks = (9+7)*2). Our application is
an OLTP type application having 600 concurrent users. Recently DB server is
showing high %wio in sar 25-60%. How can I improve %wio?. Whether the
situation will improve if I change the software mirroring to Hardware ?. How
do I know which processes are causing high %wio.
