I am trying to backup a Solaris 8 ( Sparc) machine with ArcServe Uagent from
ArcServe Server 2000 on a Windows 2K machine. The backup works fine for rest
of the network except this particular machine. It is giving me a 2 MB /
Minute speed. Both the server and client are on the same switch and there
are no network issues. When I do backup on another Solaris 8 or 9 machine,
the rate is 55 MB / Minute. To isolate this machine, I have even tried ftp
from this machine as well and got the same 2-3 MB / Minute speed.
Could any one please shed some light on increasing the throughput within
Solaris environment. Could some thing like TCP Wrappers cause this slow down
??
